Amazon is coming to Ashland.

The Fortune 500 company, according to AshlandSource.com, closed on a real estate transaction on Monday.

Back in August, Ashland City Council approved the purchase 22 acres of vacant land on the northwest corner of Wells Road and US 250.

Ashland mayor, Matt Miller, called Amazon’s choice to build an 87,000 square foot facility in Ashland “significant.”

Miller said, all of the boxes are check and the land for the project is shovel ready. Matt Miller also stated: after conversations with those involved, there will be a significant number of new jobs, which will pay a very competitive wage.
