The community is remembering three fallen deputies in West Palm Beach today.
President-elect Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis were among those attending a memorial service for Corporal Luis Paez and Deputies Ralph "Butch" Waller and Ignacio "Dan" Diaz.
The latter's daughter spoke about her father's outlook on life.
"My dad treated everyday like it was his last."
Diaz and the other deputies served on Trump's motorcade detail. Alexandria Diaz says her father cherished that job.
"I would also like the thank President Trump for being here today. He took great pride in being part of your motorcade."
The deputies served in the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office motor unit and were with their motorcycles on the shoulder of a busy roadway when they were struck by an out of control SUV.
Congressman Brian Mast also gave remarks at the event.
