Aventura, FL - A luxury yacht lost power while attempting to dock at a Turnberry property in Aventura, leading to a multi-boat collision that caused significant damage to a neighboring boat and dock.
The incident occurred on Sunday night and was captured on cellphone video obtained by 7News.
The footage shows the out-of-control yacht crashing into Nelson Fox's boat and dock, resulting in extensive damage.
Fox described the impact as forceful enough to propel his boat across the channel, causing scuffs, dents, scratches, and a cracked bimini roof.
He estimates the dock sustained approximately $100,000 in damage, while repairs for his boat could amount to $165,000.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is leading the investigation into the crash.
As of Monday night, no arrests or further details have been released.
