Universal Pictures Speaks Out About "Wicked" Pay Disparity Rumors

The internet is EXPLODING after rumors have gone wild that Ariana Grande got paid multiple millions more than Cynthia Erivo for the wicked movie!

According to the Daily Mail, the rumor claims that while Ari who played Glinda got a fat check for $15 million, Cynthia who played Elphaba only got $1 million!

The Daily Mail notes that the rumor got SO BAD Universal Pictures had to make a formal statement… which says, "Reports of pay disparity between Cynthia and Ariana are completely false and based on internet fodder… The women received equal pay for their work on 'Wicked.'"

Now what exactly that pay was has yet to be disclosed, and I’m not gonna lie - I am curious!
