Texas General Land Office Commissioner Dawn Buckingham announced a new plan to help the incoming Trump administration carry out their mass deportation plan.
The Jocelyn Initiative, named in honor of Houston's Jocelyn Nungaray, who was murdered earlier this year by two illegal immigrants from Venezuela, aims to find land under the jurisdiction of the Texas GLO that can be leased to the Trump administration. That land can then be used by Trump to build detention and deportation centers for illegal immigrants.
At a press conference earlier, Buckingham was joined by Jocelyn's mother, Alexis Nungaray, and grandmother, Jacquelin Nungaray, where she stated that her office had already identified several properties eligible for the program and is preparing to make them available to Trump on the first day of his administration.
She also said, "We are going to do everything in our power to ensure that no other parent has to feel the pain that Alexis and Jacquelin are feeling right now."
