John Legend is a master lyricist...even when he's making up impromptu songs about his wife kissing a fish.
Yes, you read that correctly.
The "All Of Me" hitmaker appeared on the Jennifer Hudson Show on Friday (November 22), debuting his songwriting skills in an exciting, legend-themed game. Hudson introduced the challenge, hyping the star up by assuring him that if anyone could create a song in only a few seconds, it was him!
"If I pull up a picture can you make a song to it," Hudson inquired. Legend assured that he would try, as the duo headed over to the piano where the "Tonight" standout readied for the task. The talk show host displayed a photo of Legend's wife, model and mother-of-four Chrissy Teigen, kissing a large fish at a market next to two of their children. Legend looked at the photo, thought for a moment, and let the magic unfold as he sang:
"Chrissy...Oh Chrissy, why are you kissing a fishy? Chrissy... why are you kissing a fishy?"
He continued, joking:
"Don't you have a man at home? He's sitting all alone. Oh... don't you have a man at a home? Leave that fish alone."
Following the hilarious, impromptu display of lyrical perfection at its finest, Hudson grabbed a mic and the two serenaded the crowd with an unforgettable duet of Legend's "Ordinary People," featured on 2004's Get Lifted.
