Some more details on Liam Payne's death are coming to light as the investigation into what happened continues.

TMZ reports that Payne was trying to escape from his hotel room when he fell to his death, "according to witnesses, the police report, a 911 call and surveillance video."

Apparently, Payne has used his hotel balcony to escape from hotels before. But, TMZ reports that according to security footage, Liam can be seen being disruptive in the lobby, as he was under the influence, causing three hotel workers to carry him to his room just before he fell, and was conscious at that point.

Liam reportedly struggled with the hotel workers, indicating that he did not want to go into his hotel room, however, with a master key, Payne was put inside, and the workers removed a mirror that was directly outside of his room, according to a police report obtained by TMZ.

TMZ also reports that Liam must have told the employees that he was going to use the balcony to escape as one of the hotel employees called 911 just moments later out of fear that something might happen to him. During the 911 call, the employee told the dispatcher, "I don't know whether his life may be in danger. He is in a room with a balcony, and, well, we're a little afraid."

Furthermore, TMZ reports that when his body was found, he had a bag strapped to his shoulder, which "was not on him when he was carried from the lobby."

The hotel has not commented on the findings from the security footage and police report.

This comes just days after Liam was finally laid to rest in his home country during an intimate and emotional service, attended by family, friends, and all four of his former One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik.
