J. Cole has finally uploaded his second iconic mixtape to all streaming services.
On Friday, November 22, the Dreamville co-founder announced that his revered body of work The Warm Up is available on digital streaming platforms. The mixtape comes with 22 tracks including timeless tracks like his self-produced "Lights Please," "I Get Up," "'Til Infinity" and more. It also holds collaborations with Omen and Brandon Hines plus production from Elite, Ski Beatz and more. The mixtape debuted on streaming services the same day Cole and his manager Ibrahim "Ib" Hamad dropped the third episode of their "Inevitable" series.
In the third episode of "Inevitable," which is also called "The Warm Up," Cole and Ib rehash life after the North Carolina native became the first artist to sign with JAY-Z's Roc Nation in 2009. They remember Cole's first freestyle after he landed the deal and detail the journey leading up to the mixtape's release in June 2009.
The limited audio series began with Cole's stories about his come-up as a rookie artist in North Carolina and his migration to New York City, where he attended college and strengthened his rap career. He also revealed how he met his manager during his first year at St. John's University in Queens. In addition to the first episode, Cole also shared his first mixtape The Come Up on streaming services for the first time.
Cole's new series holds 10 episodes in total. Each installment features personal insight and behind-the-scenes stories about Cole's life, his career, discography and more. Stream his "Inevitable" series here and listen to The Warm Up on iHeartRadio now!
