Part one of Cher's new memoir, Cher: The Memoir, Part One and Part Two, was released last week along with a slew of stories the artist has kept to herself over the years including how she lost her virginity.

According to excerpts obtained by People, the "Believe" icon remembers her first time being "massively overrated." The year was 1960 and a 14-year-old Cher had a crush on a neighborhood boy whom she would "kiss in her bedroom." Everything was fine until the boy's friends entered the picture.

"[He] was sweet enough when we were alone, but as soon as his friends came around, he'd treat me like an embarrassing kid." Then, one day, the boys had planned to go to a restaurant and made fun of their friend for bringing Cher. Instead of remaining by her side, the boy ditched her for his friends, and Cher slept with him to get back at him.

"I was so hurt when he did that, I had revenge sex with him. I had never wanted to. Otherwise I would have done it one of the five hundred other times he asked. But I was so angry at being dismissed, I decided to, if not lose, loan out my virginity to him."

Cher continued, revealing exactly how she got revenge on her rude crush.

"When what turned out to be a massively overrated experience came to an end, I asked him, 'Is that it? Are we finished?' Then I told him to go home and never come back. I wanted him to feel just as dismissed as he'd made me feel."

After the encounter, the only thing Cher could think of was something her mother told her about losing her virginity.

"My mother warned me that the minute I lost my virginity she'd know because she'd see it in my eyes, so after the romp with the Italian, I ran to the mirror to check. I half expected to see the word SEX flashing in fluorescent letters across my forehead, but I couldn't spot anything different, and she didn't either."

The "After All" songstress kept the story a secret from her mother, but was sure to tell her friends that "the 'thing' they were constantly talking about was no big deal and that they should carry on kissing."

Cher never spoke to the neighborhood boy again.
