According to DisneyParksBlog.com, Walt Disney World announced the addition of the "World of Monsters, Inc." and Muppets-themed transformation of the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
Disney Parks revealed that the south side of Hollywood Studios will be home to a new Monsters, Inc. land, complete with a suspended roller coaster inspired by the iconic door vault scene from the films.
The addition will also feature themed dining, shopping opportunities, and a new theater show, promising an immersive experience for visitors of all ages.
The news builds on announcements made during last year’s D23 Expo, where Disney teased the development of this fan-favorite concept.
Meanwhile, on Sunset Boulevard, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and the rest of The Muppets will headline their first-ever Disney attraction by taking over the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
The revamped ride will feature a high-energy storyline as The Muppets team up with music’s biggest stars for a rock festival-themed adventure.
Fans still have time to enjoy the current attractions before these transformations take place.
The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and Muppet*Vision 3D will remain open for a limited time before making way for the new experiences.
Disney emphasized that these changes are still in the planning stages, with more updates expected next year.
