Jake Owen shared a heartwarming birthday tribute to his oldest daughter on Friday (November 22). The country star is a dad to Pearl, who is celebrating her 12th birthday, and Paris, who turned 5 in April. Owen wrote in the emotional caption on Instagram:
“It’s hard to put into words what this little girl means to me. Even as I type, there’s a lump in my throat and a burn in my eyes, reminding me just how much love and gratitude I have for her. Pearl came into my life when I needed her most. I lost one pearl, and God gave me another. And for 12 years now, she’s shown me every day that she’s an angel walking beside me through this journey of life.
“Like any dad, I could go on and on about her…her huge heart, her kindness, and the way she brings light into every room. If you’ve had the privilege of knowing Pearl or watching her grow, you know just how truly special she is. But I’m also learning that little girls don’t stay little long.
“Today, I officially have a tween. Pearl, I’m so proud of you, and I love you more than words can ever say. You and Paris are the brightest highlights of my life, and nothing in this world compares to the joy you both bring me. Happy 12th birthday, buddy. Love, Dad.”
