Five Minutes Of Extreme Cold May Help You Sleep Better

Trouble sleeping? Maybe a five-minute ice-bath or a quick trip to the back porch in sub-zero temperature may be just the thing for you. Scientists in Canada and France are saying that regularly spending five minutes a day in extremely cold temperatures can noticeably improve people’s sleep. "Cryostimulation," as the guys in the white coats call it, could be a viable treatment for those with sleep issues. The study involved subjects going about their days as they normally would, with the exception of a five-minute period where they stripped down and stayed inside a chamber chilled to -130 degrees Fahrenheit (which, by the way, is colder than the coldest temps ever recorded in nature). The scientists hope to expand their research, using more test subjects. Any volunteers?
