Two men, Paul Gervasio, 37, and Willie Moses, 48, have been arrested and charged with the theft of 20 handguns and a shotgun from a gun store in Colonie. The burglary took place at NY Shooter Supply on Central Avenue on November 14, around 1 a.m. The pair had also attempted to break into another nearby gun shop, B&J Guns, but fled before police arrived.

According to The Times Union, the suspects entered a common hallway of the building that houses NY Shooter Supply and smashed through a wall to gain access into a bathroom of the gun store. Surveillance footage shows Moses allegedly using a hammer to try and smash through the steel doors of B&J Guns for about 25 minutes before giving up. Gervasio was reportedly serving as a lookout for police.

The suspects triggered an alarm during the first break-in attempt and fled before officers arrived. Police were investigating the first break-in attempt when the suspects went to the second gun store and broke through the wall to gain entry.

Both men are facing felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, burglary, grand larceny, and criminal mischief. They are currently being held at Albany County jail pending future court appearances. While multiple guns have been recovered, police are still searching for more than a half dozen handguns.
