RI Sues Real Estate Broker For Alleged Deceptive Practices

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha's office has filed a lawsuit against a local real estate broker for allegedly violating Rhode Island's Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

The lawsuit alleges that Kyle Seyboth and the other defendants deceived homeowners with limited English proficiency with a foreclosure rescue scheme.

Under the alleged scheme, the owners thought they were refinancing their mortgages when they were really signing paperwork for the sale of their home for significantly less than market value.

Seyboth's team released a statement denying the allegations in the complaint and will not comment further on pending litigation.
