(Omaha, NE) -- Nine out of ten traffic signals studied by Omaha Public Works this summer will be removed. The City of Omaha replaced 10 signals with stop signs and determined that only the intersection at 50th and Underwood needed a traffic light. Omaha Public Works said issues included driver compliance with right-of-way order and safety issues one block west. The signal will be operational by the end of the week. The other nine locations will remain what they called "unsignalized."
