Grand Rapids Police say a safe storage investigation is ongoing after a 15-year-old shot and injured himself Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 7:40 a.m.
GRPD says the teen was shot in the shoulder.
Officials say they will continue to investigate and follow through with criminal charges if the gun was not secured properly.
