(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowans can now add their drivers licenses to their Apple Wallet.
Iowa Mobile ID is a free, secure, digital version of Iowa residents drivers licenses and state ID's that's able to be accessed on your smartphone.
The feature will also allow iPhone and Apple Watch users to present their ID at TSA checkpoints and various businesses.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says that when adding an ID, it only receives the information necessary to approve or deny the request.
The DOT also recommends carrying a physical ID as a backup.
