Des Moines Police Looking for Person Connected to Hit and Run Crash

(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a person connected to a hit-and-run crash.

Police say the crash left three pedestrians hurt, one with life-threatening injuries. Investigators say the person of interest is 32 year-old Renato Virves. He's the owner of the van involved in the crash, and investigators believe he may have valuable information that would help in the investigation. So far, police have been unable to locate Virves since the crash.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Des Moines Police at 515-323-8382. People can also submit tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers of central Iowa through their website.
