Peter Frampton's time has come

Peter Frampton will finally receive his long-awaited recognition this Saturday when he is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland. Frampton, who has been eligible for nomination since 1997, was elected on his first ballot.

Frampton shared his excitement and gratitude, saying, “I’m excited, nervous, every feeling in the world right now. I mean I’m so honored that they’ve inducted me, which is great, but I have to thank the fans because I woke up one morning and over 500,000 people had voted for me. So those are the people I need to thank.” Frampton finished second in the Fan Vote, just behind the Dave Matthews Band, who will also be inducted on the same day.

Roger Daltrey, a friend of Frampton since 1967, will induct him. Country star and guitarist Keith Urban, another close friend, will perform with Frampton and his band. Frampton is being honored in the Performer Category, which recognizes artists whose music has significantly impacted the course of rock & roll. Reflecting on his career, Frampton highlighted the influence of his band Humble Pie and the success of his iconic 1976 album, “Frampton Comes Alive!”

Listen to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony on iHeartRadio and BIG 95 KBGO this Saturday night starting at 7pm.
