My Weekend: Roadtrips: The White Mtns, The NE Kingdom To the Coast of ME!

I hit the road once again on Friday morning at 10:01am - and headed north.

During the first two weeks of October, I do everything I can to not schedule anything so that I can go take advantage of foliage season with the camera- and hopefully avoid the crowds. So thats what I did this weekend (Well, on Friday and Saturday anyway...hahah)

So on Friday I headed up the Whites and hit everywhere from Franconia Notch to the Kancamagus, Tamworth and more.

First stop was Campton NH - to this row of birch trees that have quickly become pretty famous!

Then it was up to Franconia Notch to a little known brook at the bottom of a 100 ft ravine that I love-

Such a beautiful place! And then it was on to the Kanc - for a drive before the place got jammed up with tourists!

And a stop on the way home in Tamworth.....

I mean - it was a beautiful day and there were incredible scenes almost around every corner!

Got home about 630 and chilled with Valerie- but I headed out at 4am on Saturday to head to Vermont because I was invited to photograph one of the most photographed farms in the entire world- the legendary Jenne Farm in Reading VT. It's been closed to the public during foliage season for the last two years due to people acting like idiots and disrepsecting the family property so badly- they had no choice but to shut it down during the first part of October. So i was honored to be invited- and I'll give you one from that morning - (more in a subsequent post) -

It was a very special morning photographing and touring the historic family farm that was built in the 1700's!

Special thanks to Chase Jenne for the invite! He's a very cool dude- and he and his family have been very nice to me through the years!

I shot several more places on Saturday morning, but headed home and got there about 130p - and immediately got to doing the lawn and house stuff that i put off from Saturday!

Saturday night- Valerie and I hit one of our favorite restaurants- MC Perkins Cove in Ogunquit for a nice night out. The harbor was pretty cool looking -

and so were the drinks at MC- haha - a Mule with Cranberry! Yeah- i know- might not be manly- but its good!

Spent Sunday just chilling before we headed out to the Portsmouth Dog Park with Daisy -

Pretty cool place!

The only problem was- not ONE- but TWO friggin dogs PISSED ON ME!!! What the **** is up with THAT???? haha -

Then it was home to watch the Pats. (DON'T GET ME STARTED), dinner and back to work -

A good weekend with a ton more cool pics I got to shoot! I had a blast!

Hope you had a good one too - g
