The largest literary event in Nevada, The Las Vegas Book Festival, is back for its 23rd year.
On Saturday October 19th, the free event is open to all ages and takes place at The Historic Fifth Street School in downtown Las Vegas.
To help make reading accessible, the festival is providing free books to their youngest attendees.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. attendees can also experience activities such as:
- A storybook walk across Mount Olympus
- Hands-on activities with Rainbow Company Youth Theatre
- Scavenger hunt, lawn games, and chalk art
- Crafts with Nevada Humanities
Authors John Waters, Tracy Wolff, and Nicola Yoon will also be participating in readings.
