Estranged husband of Dodge County woman charged with killing her

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) — The estranged husband of Crystal Rasch has been charged with causing her death.

Zachariah Rasch, 43, of Clyman, has been formally charged with first-degree intentional homicide with a domestic abuse enhancer and hiding a corpse. District Attorney Andrea Will filed the charges on Friday.

Zachariah Rasch was charged over the summer with seven felony counts of misappropriate ID info. He was arrested then after making financial transactions with Crystal's accounts without consent.

This case began in June as a missing person case and was eventually classified as a death investigation.

Crystal Rasch was 37. She was last seen around June 11.

Sheriff Dale J. Schmidt said the family is asking for privacy during this time.

"While they appreciate everything the community has done, they continue to request privacy in the matter as they continue to grieve the loss of Crystal," Schmidt said.

Sheriff Schmidt said this case remains an open and active case, and there will be no further information available from the sheriff’s office.

Zachariah Rasch has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 3.
