Miami Beach, FL - Miami Beach has announced an increase in parking rates, effective October 1st, to reflect rising costs across the area.

The city of Miami Beach announced the rate hike on Thursday, citing a rise in the Consumer Price Index as the primary reason for the adjustment.

Residents registered in the city's Resident Parking Discount Program will now pay $2 per hour for parking, up from the previous rate of $1.

The 46th Street and Collins Avenue surface lot will see a more significant increase, rising from $6 per day to $8 for residents.

Non-residents will also face higher parking rates, with prices varying by location.

The 46th Street and Collins Avenue surface lot will increase from $20 to $26 per day for non-residents.

This marks the first parking rate increase in Miami Beach since 2015.
