Human remains were found inside the car at the site of the Deer Park pipeline explosion.
Police confirmed that a Mobile Command team found the human remains inside the car before it was towed from the site Thursday morning.
Investigators will now work through an identification process on the remains. A criminal investigation has been launched. It's still unclear if the driver's actions were intentional.
On Monday evening, Deer Park Police said a white SUV ran through a fence at a nearby Walmart and then hit the pipeline, triggering the explosion and then the fire.
