A 73 year old Ashland man, who is accused of killing his son in the fall of 2022, was found dead inside his home on Monday.

RichlandSource.com reports, Stanley Gardner was found sitting in a chair not responding, according to Chief Deputy, David Blake, of the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office.

Blake said the death did not appear to be suspicious and looks to be natural causes.

A woman, who was delivering meals for the Ashland County Council on Aging, found Gardner around 11:30 am and called 911.

Stanley Gardner was scheduled to go on trial on October 22nd for an aggravated murder charge.
