Researchers have discovered a new kind of sexual attraction known as 'symbiosexual'. This type of attraction is where people are drawn to the relationship between a couple rather than the individuals themselves. Dr. Sally Johnston from Seattle University led the study and found that some individuals feel a connection to the 'energy' or 'synergy' created by a couple.

This occurrence was mainly seen in people who refer to themselves as 'unicorns' in polyamorous communities. They often expressed being attracted to the dynamics and energy between the couple members, rather than just one person.

The study, while based on a small sample, suggests that this form of attraction could be a sexual orientation. So as one would say “I’m bisexual” or “I’m Queer” or “I’m Pansexual,” now you can say “I’m Symbiosexual.” Further research is required to understand how common this type of attraction is and its impact on individuals' mental health and relationship satisfaction.
