Gen X, you’re not going to want to hear this, but you’re middle-aged. It’s a shocking fact for those of us born between 1965 and 1980 because we don’t feel old yet, but the numbers don’t lie. And just to rub it in, a new list of Gen X names that are so rarely used they’re practically extinct has just come out.
TikTok account Nostalgia Nut posted a list of these once-popular names that they say are now “obsolete.” As you might expect, Karen is one of them, and these are the rest:

People have a lot of thoughts about this list, as there are more than 22-hundred comments, many that share more names that are never used in 2024. TikTokers have added Mark, Mike, Christine, Lisa, Scott, Todd, Melissa, Hason, Barbara, Brett, Debbie, Amanda, Cheryl and Heather to the antique names list.
