2024 Cincinnati Open 3rd Round: Auger-Aliassime vs Draper

There is major controversy surrounding the ending of the Friday night round 3 matchup between Great Britain's Jack Draper and Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime. Tied at one set apiece, Draper would get a pivotal early break in the 3rd set. Up 5-4 serving for the match, on match point the ball appeared to hit Drapers raquet, then the ground, then his raquet again before going back over the net. Chair umpire Greg Allensworth having not seen the shot, called the point and thus the match in favor of Draper.

Jack Draper defeats Felix Auger-Aliassime 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

Draper will face Denmark's Holger Rune in the quarterfinal on Saturday.
