(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Kirkwood Community College is purchasing 80 acres of land in Cedar Rapids to meet the needs of its growing agriculture program.
The land is located on 2800 Wright Brothers Boulevard which is about 2 miles southeast of the main campus, connecting directly to land already owned by the school for agricultural-related use.
The $1.4 Million purchase is scheduled to be finalized on November 15.
Kirkwood's agricultural program is one of the largest 2-year ag programs in the nation.
