Muskegon Polish Festival slated for Aug. 30-31

MUSKEGON, Mich. -- The 9th annual Muskegon Polish Festival at month's end will feature live music, polka dancing, Polish food, and merchandise.

It highlights Polish culture through traditions, education, music, and cuisine. The festival hours are 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, August 30th and 31st in downtown Muskegon’s Hackley Park. Admission is $10 anyone 21 and older. It's free anyone for anyone younger than 21. There will be Polish vendors, food, drinks, kids’ activities and music.

Here is more from the Muskegon Polish Festival news release:

The festival started as a way to pass along Polish heritage to future generations to preserve as well as share Polish culture with the larger community. This lively, inclusive gathering is a celebration of cherished traditions and culture of the Polish community.

"We're excited to continue our mission of promoting and celebrating Polish heritage within our community,” said Donna Piasecki, President of the Muskegon Polish Festival. “This year, festival-goers can look forward to unique experiences like dancing the polka on our custom-built wooden dance floor, tasting authentic Polish food, and discovering handcrafted pottery and jewelry. Our popular Polish beers will be served again, and we'll be debuting our new vodka bar in collaboration with Wonderland Distilling Company."
