Cirque du Soleil magic is taking over the city of Sunrise. It's show, "Corteo," opens at Amerant Bank Arena.
Since its premiere in Montreal in 2005, Corteo has played to over 11 million spectators, in 22 countries, on four continents.
This was a unique production directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, first premiered in Montreal in April 2005. Since it’s creation this show has amazed over 10 million spectators, across 20 countries, and on 4 continents. Corteo, is the long running and most enchanting arena production from Cirque du Soleil.
Corteo's artistic director Olaf Triebel says the show follows the funeral of the clown Mauro. While that might sound like a bit of a downer, the show itself is not....it's a celebration of life, of friendships, of love...with plenty of laughs to go around!
Corteo will play at Amerant, its home through the 21st of July.
