Chaotic video footage captured a brawl that erupted on a long-haul flight from Taiwan to San Francisco when one passenger, mere hours into an 11-and-a-half-hour journey, decided to switch seats because his neighbor was coughing.
But when he took the other person’s seat, the guy whose seat was taken tried to hit the man who had poached his spot.
Three flight attendants quickly intervened to separate the two passengers, but not before getting elbowed in the head by the brawlers.
Things calmed down momentarily until the man who had taken the seat stood up and approached the other passenger again, pushing the flight attendant aside and taking a swing at him as passengers screamed.
Several people finally stepped in to help the crew keep the two guys apart for the remainder of the flight. Both were handed over to San Francisco police upon arrival.
