Self-Scanner Scammer

A frequent shopper at a Target location in San Francisco is looking at serious jail time after she was found guilty of using the self-checkout to steal more than $60,000 worth of items.

43-year-old Aziza Graves visited the store 120 times in just over a year, and each time managed to leave with something she didn't pay for. Prosecutors say she would scan a cart full of items and then insert a single coin or a bill into the machine before leaving the store with the merchandise. She would then sell the stolen goods outside the city's Civic Center. Graves was convicted of felony grand theft and 52 counts of petty theft. Her sentencing is scheduled for May 24th. She could get up to three years in prison. (USA Today)
