Give Hope Through a Smile! The North Dakota Dental Association and North Dakota Dental Foundation are excited to announce the next ND Mission of Mercy event with support from host Delta Dental of Minnesota Serving North Dakota. On October 11-12, 2024, the Bismarck Event Center will be transformed into a Free Dental Care Clinic, where selfless volunteers, with support of generous donors, will provide free dental care to people in need on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 5:00am each day. Sunday, October 29th Oak Valley Lutheran Church in Velva will be hosting their annual lutefisk, lefse and meatball dinner. Noon to 5pm, plus take in the bazaar featuring crafts, baked goods produce and more. Adults are $25 - Children 6 to 12 are $10 - 5 and under are free. Dining room is handicap accessible, and take outs are available. All profits to go towards the churches roof fund.

Come out to the Minot Auditorium’s Armory this October 12th and enjoy a fun-filled day of trick or treating, games, crafts, and more! 9am-12pm is reserved for toddlers and anyone with a disability to enjoy. 1-5pm is open to all kids.

The Magic City Discovery Center is calling on the creative young minds of Minot to apply for a spot as one of our Kid Ambassadors! Open to children ages 8 to 12, this unique role offers an exciting opportunity for kids who are passionate about creativity and excited to inspire others! Applicants will have to demonstrate their creativity by submitting a short Show-N-Tell style video showcasing their creativity, whether it’s a piece of art, an innovative invention, a musical creation, or a compelling story. In their video, candidates should also express how they believe being a kid ambassador will help them to inspire other children to get creative. Parental approval is required and should be included in the submission. Minot's fall clean-up week, including curbside residential collection of unwanted items, is scheduled for Sept. 30-Oct. 4.

During fall clean-up week, City sanitation customers can also bring E-waste and other unwanted household items to the City landfill for free.

City of Minot sanitation customers should bring a water bill as proof they are customers when dropping off items at the landfill.

Current landfill hours are 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
