Sunshine Weekend

Friday, I had an trailer hitch installed on my new car. Then I spent the night carting Parker to and from a movie and watching Dylan's baseball game in between. He is still not playing, fingers crossed that he can play after his drs appt today (Monday).

Saturday, was supposed to be Dylan's last Chuck Wagon for cub scouts, but with the toe, he wasn't able to participate because of the miles he would have to walk. Again, we are really hoping for some good news so he can start being active again! He is driving me bonkers!!! The kid needs to move! We headed to our camper for the day to enjoy the sunshine instead. The boys swam, paddle boarded, paddle boated, candy bar bingo, etc. It was a nice Saturday get away.

Sunday morning, we were up early to go to the 98th annual Rod & Gun Fishing Derby. It was another great year! Dylan and his friend Maysen, both won the boy's and girls' first limit caught! Dylan and Maysen both won a bike . . .Dylan donated his back as he has too many bikes. My nephew Jordan won the biggest fish for the boys too! It was a gorgeous day! From there we went home and Dylan fried up his trout. I made some steak tips and read a new book. Sunday's are hard . . .we always used to have people over the house. Random drop bys, cornhole games, now my Sunday's are lonely. I have my boys, but my house is just empty without Jeff and without all his buddies. Sunday's are my saddest day of the week. . .it means another weekend is done, back to work and just going through the motions, because what else can I do??? I have to pay the bills, I have to work, I have to pretend I am okay. . . it's exhausting and just plain old shitty.

I hope you all had a good weekend and enjoyed the weather. It's truly good for the soul.
