I was so excited last week when I got an email from the campground that we booked for the weekend was having a cook off! Camping and cooking, two of my favorite things! I decided to make chorizo stuffed dates wrapped in bacon with a sweet pepper sauce. There were so many choices for me to make, but when I heard that we should make samples for around 50 people I thought this would be the best option. There was a bunch of great food! I ended up winning the contest! I was so excited and so were my boys! I got 2 free nights at Autumn Hills in Weare and a $25 Amazon gift card and a cool apron that I will wear with pride. I really enjoy Autumn Hills, the seasonals are so nice and it's a peaceful place. We like staying close to home to make driving back and forth to baseball games on Saturday morning easy.
