"Wait? It rained on a Saturday? Man- THAT'S something NEW!!" -said NO New Englander so far this Spring!
But- I remain- undeterred! Rain ain't gonna stop this freight train, brochacho!!
Not a bad weekend at all, although I ain't gonna lie- as usual - an extra day wouldn't hurt, am I right?
We started Friday afternoon when my buddy Gary- part of our Brew Crew - was feelin some seafood for dinner, and since it was nice out, we headed for the beach! And after hearing about it forever- I finally got to visit Petey's Seafood in Rye!
They server set a Fisherman's Platter in between the 4 of us (Valerie and I and Lorraine and Gary) - and we chowed on it. Good stuff! And the chowder was really good too! (Keep your mind out of the gutter, you heathen!)
Then we headed over to Dave and Jolenes to watch the Celtics.
And that's all I'm going to say about that....
Saturday morning, I knew it was going to be foggy- so I headed out early and headed up the coast a piece, and landed at Wells Harbor-
Here's one of the shots from my phone-
And here's one from the camera-

Big difference.
From there, the fog got pretty heavy which made it even more fun.

I love the black and white vibe. And lastly- Kennebunkport- where the fog got REALLY thick -

Just felt like a black and white kind of day......
And while I'm at it - I stopped to get a cup of coffee in Kennebunkport and went in to Kennebunkport Provisions. Had a lovely chat with the woman behind the counter- then recorded this video afterwards....
Chilled at home doing some work around the house before heading out to see Matt Rife with my son Tyler. We hit up The Crown Tavern in Manchester- and it was AMAZING! I threw down a Flat Iron Steak that was killer! So tender I could have eaten it without teeth! :)
Then on to SNHU Arena for the MATT RIFE show-
I wondered how he would be in front of an audience that big, given he does so much crowd work at his shows- but he crushed it. Very funny show! I know the guy gets raunchy and has riled up some in the past- but get over it - he's a comedian! If you're easily offended - stay home! I thought he was great!
Sunday was a house day- watching Daisy stare out the window with that damn rubber ball in her mouth!
She's really good at fetch, but not so good at giving you the ball back, though- hahah!
I'm kind of digging the whole hanging out the house on Sundays. It's very chill, even if we're doing stuff around the house. I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel like it we're not out taking advantage of good weather - then we're wasting the day. But who says staying at home is wasting the day??? Right? Screw that!
Anyway- a good weekend.
Except for the Celtics.
That blew.
But I love em anyway-
Hope you had a good one -
