It was a GREAT night for a real rock and roll show in Gilford at the Bank of NH Pavillion -
And it was an excellent display of the power of two of the best women led rock bands out there - Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless.
The Pretty Reckless - which features drummer Jamie Perkins and bassist Mark Damon (both from NH), Ben Phillips (born in ME), and Taylor Mommsen (who now lives in Maine)- came out swinging. It's been so cool to see that band gel over the years, and see Taylor find her powerful voice - both figuratively and literally. They put on a great show and the crowd ate it up -
TPR have been really good to us- and we love our relationship with the band and their team. It's so awesome to see a band from the beginning and watch them go out and kick ass. So proud of them, and truly appreciate their friendship....
Love this shot of Taylor at soundcheck.....
Taylor loved the crowd- especially them all singing "Happy Birthday" to her (she's 29 today)!
Went on stage to greet the crowd before Halestorm and noticed this near the backstage door -
Right on! Haha - Pretty cool!
And here I was up there saying "Hi" to the folks- (thanks to Ken Brown for the pic from the pit)
Yeah, I know- it's a Dad rock look - but.....hey- it's me. I don't give a s*** - hahah....its just my look.
Halestorm came out and then proceeded to blow the roof off the place. Man, Lzzy is the most amazing singer/front woman in rock right now. She OWNED the entire huge stage-
And she was so kind to give the show a shout out - and dedicate their newest single "Wicked Ways" to me. That's just the kind of person she is. She remembers when we first met back at the Casino Ballroom way back when- when they were starting out and their Mom was their manager. She doesn't forget - and she's been great to us ever since. And I can't lie- I am in no way cool enough to act like that on stage dedication was no big deal. It was to me. She and that band are class acts.
And even though the backstage area was in a covid "bubble" - to protect the artists- we got to see our friends Mark and Jamie from the Pretty Reckless
It was a fun night, and a great night of rock n roll-
Thanks to everyone who came out to see the show -
