My Weekend: Gratitude, Bald Eagles, Dog Walks and Kamikazes!

Well the weekend started with the end of LEND A HELPING CAN 21 - (I went out with a couple folks afterwards and ended up getting home at 11p -hahah)

And all I can say is - THANK YOU - to all of you who bid, donated, supplied items, sponsored, helped, or just wished us success! The numbers are still coming in -so we won't know the final numbers until after BUZZBALL - but we know it was an excellent year, so to you - I say -

On Saturday- I didn't move off the couch until about 1p - haha- which is HIGHLY unusual for me, but it felt great. Turns out.....someone wanted to go for a walk...

Any guesses?

Saturday night Valerie and I tried a new restaurant in Dover called "Roost" with our friends Dave and Kerry- and it was REALLY good! The food, drinks and service were excellent!

It was a really nice way to cap a very busy and exhausting week -

AND - I want to say thanks to Glenn (and Jamie - who isn't in the pic below unfortunately) who sent a KAMIKAZE over to the table to congratulate us on LEND A HELPING CAN!

Never had a Kamikaze before- but being that I guess now I'm a semi-drinker, I had to oblige Glenn, right? So - we toasted and took the shot! NOT BAD AT ALL!!!!! hahah

Thanks to Glenn and Jamie for being so nice, and for the shot! Nice to meet you both!

On Sunday - I set out in the morning to see if I could re-connect with some bald eagles I hadn't seen since early Spring. I hadn't photographed eagles much in 2021, to be honest, and I wanted to see if they were still around. Thankfully- they were...

The Pats weren't on and Valerie was working on a project so - my morning/afternoon was wide open -

So I went "hunting"....

Every fall, eagles re-fortify their nest, or build new ones. So I watched a pair do that for a while. And anytime you can photograph 2 bald eagles together- I think of that as a win....

Then I went to a different spot and saw 3 more of them - which was also pretty cool....

Did some other stuff too, but didn't take any pics. I mean, who needs pics of a street brawl, an orgy, and sky diving? Pfffttt.......just average stuff! Haha-

After last week - it was good to chill this weekend. Hope you had a good one too -
