Check Out The Northern Lights Over New Hampshire

Here's a time lapse video by photographer Rob Wright of the Aurora Borealis that happened Monday night over NH! Pretty cool! Rob does a lot of time lapse stuff that's really cool - and you can check out his Facebook page for more info - just search Rob Wright Images on FB - heres the Aurora from Monday -

Pretty cool to see a phenomenon that doesn't happen very often in New England. Actually- i should say - it's not often that it's visible.

A lot of my photographer friends have apps that tell you when it may happen- and one told me on Monday - "there's gonna be an aurora tonight!"- but, it's never a guarantee. Now, of course- Im bummed I didn't go try to see it- hahah...

I've seen them twice - once, was the night before Andy's wake. After a long and emotional day with Andy's family- my buddy Scott called and said "Grab your camera, Im picking you up to go shoot an Aurora". I protested at first, but he wasn't taking no for an answer.

Little did I - or we - know- it was one of the most stunning aurora displays in many years. Here's a pic I got that night-

I knew that night as I watched it -that it wasn't a coincidence. You and I both know where that display came from- no question in my mind- it was heaven sent.

It apparently was the biggest display New England had seen in many, many years.

The second time I saw them was in Maine- at the Marshall Point lighthouse in Port Clyde.

The coolest thing about seeing them is- that the colors dance across the sky, like a moving blanket that undulates - it's incredible...
