Wasn't a whole lot of sitting around this weekend, that's for sure! FINALLY we got some good weather so we had to make the best of it! We did some yard stuff, took a little roadtrip, got out with the camera a few times - AND chowed down on some BBQ! Oh yeah, also watched the Bruins game outside on the patio - only to see em lose it in OT. Grrrrr...... but overall, it was a good weekend!
So let's get at it - shall we?
Took a little roadtrip, and was given driving duties - which didn't suck because it was in a convertible!
Gotta make sure that hat is screwed on to my head though- because if that sucker blows off- it'll blind the next 5 cars behind me!!
Here's a hint where we went - can you guess where we were?
Cmon- it's easy! (answer at the end of the post)
Valerie and I hit a BBQ joint too that was excellent - and when the four of us go out- WE SHARE. We got the family platter and the four of us shared it - and it was only $55 and we had plenty of leftovers too! I'll tell ya the place too - at the end of the post -
Got lucky driving home from a sunrise shoot, when I saw a bald eagle in a tree along Rt 101 between Dover end Eliot ME. He dove down into the shallow water and grabbed a fish, but I wasnt set yet with the camera so I missed the plunge (F*&^!!!!!)- but I got this a few minutes later. The adult bald eagle was eating when an juvenile swooped in and tried to grab it. WRONG move.
Adult 1. Juvenile 0.
Also put up a new mailbox with one of those kits you can buy. The main post (shown below) is supposed to have a hole in both sides- so you can slide the base for the mailbox into and through it.
You see a problem here? NO FRIGGIN HOLE in the other side!!! That means Kretchy NO CAN DO. Friggin projects. I hate em. Haha- the company is sending a replacement- but it's just a pain when stuff doesn't go right. And whenever I'M involved- it don't go right- haha
Sunday night, after having my parents over for dinner (mango chicken- and it was INSANELY good!) - I saw the sky developing and zipped over to a pond in my town and got this -
I'll take THAT, thank you very much!
So the answer as to where we road tripped to?
Ok- so not the longest road trip in history - but so what?
And the BBQ place we went to - BUCK NAKEDS BBQ in Freeport! If you go - get the Family Deal and pig out. Food was great. Oh, and ask for Erica to be your server. We had a blast with her.
