We started the weekend off by taking a quick trip to the beach to watch the huge surf (from the storm). Massive 15 ft high waves are always fun to watch. The wind was blowing so hard it was rocking the friggin car!!! Pretty cool!
There are many things in life that I have major disdain for......and assembling "furniture" is one of them.
Ikea is the worst. No words. Just pics. And a f'n allen wrench. But my wife ordered an all weather patio "couch" for the back deck from the internet. Looked good online, and although I knew we'd have to put it together, I thought the instructions might be just a litttttllllleeee bit easier to understand. Barely any print instructions and diagrams that were too small to see what pieces went where- made it a pain in the ass to put together (at least in the beginning)
And I don't know about you, but when I'm involved in home repair - Im like a mechanic: I drop bombs if I get frustrated. So make sure the kids are out of the room if Im putting something together. Haha! Now, my wife Valerie, who works in a school with kindergarten kids - ain't a big fan of that. So she says "Im gonna count the number of F bombs you use!" Im like, "Have at it....."
This next photo was about 20 minutes in. I was averaging almost one a minute!!! Thats a damn good batting average!
Any guesses what the final tally was? Check out this video for the answer!
Also spent some time out on Sunday morning doing some shooting. Salisbury Beach was the destination of choice to shoot some wave action after the weekend storms. The clouds covered the sky - so a good sunset was pretty much guaranteed not to happen.
And then this happened -
Sometimes Mother Nature throws you a last minute curve ball - and delivers. I got a ton of stuff from those 10-15 minutes too- so I was pretty psyched!
Also did a little diner action at The Roundabout with Valerie and her brother and his wife. Always good food there-
