This large shark was sighted just off of Long Sands Beach in York Beach Maine on Monday, causing officials to post an "Advisory" for the day at beaches.
Apparently, it's a harmless Basking Shark (but I ain't gonna mess with it, I can tell you that!). Basking Sharks can grown up to
25 ft in length, but eat plankton not people.
