What can I say, but "Thank You" to every one who came out and either rode, volunteered, or supported our 3rd Blacksmith Ride for Life on Saturday!!
The weather looked like crap all week, but it seems like someone was watchin' from above. Thanks B! The day was hot, for sure- but there was no rain, and the ride went off without a hitch! There was about 700 bikes, and over 1000 folks that came out to support the ride, Donate Life New England, and The American Heart Associaition!
Thanks so much to our friends at Seacoast Harley Davidson - Al Contois, Arielle Andrews, Phil, Greg, Shawn, Pete - and everybody - for helping to arrange a great day, and a great tribute to our brother Andy! Thanks also to Mojo's for whipping up a bbq for all those folks! And thanks to our other sponsors- Audio Video Experience, The Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, Federal Cigar, and Cyr Kitchen and Bath!
I'd also tip my cap to our awesome photographer- Mark Myers - who got great shots of just about every rider on the ride (quite a task!)
But mostly - my and our thanks is to YOU - the riders who paid to do something they can do for free. They paid- because they wanted to help us raise awareness of the importance of organ donation, and to help us all celebrate Andy Blacksmith.
As I rode home, with my wife on the back of the bike- I smiled, for two reasons. One, because with your help, we did a really good thing that day that most definitely will help save lives. And two - because you just KNOW Blacksmith was just loving all the attention (along with all the CHICKS that were there!! Haha - Love ya B!
Thank you all - from all of us on The Buzz -
We love you all - g
