More than 60,000 pounds of chicken products were recalled nationwide due to a misbranding and undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Safety Inspection Service announced on Friday (December 12).
Suzanna's Kitchen, a small food company located in Suwanee, Georgia, issued the recall for approximately 62,550 pounds of its fully cooked, bone-in breaded chicken products which reportedly contain soy, a known allergen, not declared on its product label. The recall includes 8-piece cut, bone-in breaded chicken portions produced on October 16, 2025 with the following label: "18-lb. cases containing four units of 'FULLY COOKED BREADED CHICKEN PORTIONS,' with case code 'P-1380 126237 B30851 23:11 K04' printed on the side of the packaging."
The recalled product includes the USDA mark of inspection on its label and establishment number "P-1380" on the side of its package and were shipped nationwide. The company notified FSIS that it hadn't identified a chicken product containing soy, which had been mislabeled with a non-allergen containing product code.
FSIS said it hadn't received any confirmed reports of adverse reactions to consumers of the products, but advised that any individuals who are concerned about injury or illness should contact their healthcare provider. The agency said its concerned about some products still being in refrigerators or freezers, while restaurants are urged to throw the products away immediately.
