The Las Vegas Raiders will now require vaccinations for any fans who want to attend home games, reported ABC 15. All attendees will be able to show proof of the COVID-19 vaccination through CLEAR's free mobile app and Health Pass feature. Having the COVID-19 vaccination will allow fans to attend the games without wearing a face mask.

This new policy will be in effect at the first regular-season home game, which will be played on September 13th against the Baltimore Ravens.

Raiders owner Mark Davis said:

"Health and safety has always been our number one priority. After consultation with Governor Sisolak and other community leaders, this policy ensures that we will be able to operate at full capacity without masks for fully vaccinated fans for the entire season."

John Vizcarra, Raiders season ticket holder, said, "I think it's a step in the right direction. Anything that we can do to make sure that fans are safe."

According to the league, the Raiders are the first team in the NFL to announce this type of vaccine policy.

The New Orleans Saints announced last week that fans will need to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to attending home games.
