1985 Rewind: Stevie Ray Vaughan Shakes Fan's Hand While Playing Solo

I'm not sure there will ever be another guitar player quite like Stevie Ray Vaughan to walk this Earth. And that's a shame. This man's ability to carelessly make his way around a fretboard is just incredible to watch years later. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of shredders in the world that are phenomenal players, but Stevie had it all. Charisma, the voice, and he could drop beautiful solos and interludes at the drop of a hat.

Just look how he continues to nails a hammer-on solo while shacking the fan's hand, a long handshake at that, and still flawlessly jumping back in after making that fan's life worth it. Then four years later, he pulls over the cleanest guitar switch of all time like it was nothing.

Check out these two videos where Stevie proves to all that he's THE MAN. Stevie Ray, we miss you.

We tragically lost Stevie Ray Vaughan in a helicopter crash on August 27, 1990 after a show in East Troy, Wisconsin. He was 35 years old.
