Accident Involving 85 Vehicles Shuts Down Ohio Highway

To call the accident that shut down State Route 8 in Ohio Tuesday a "multi-vehicle crash" wouldn't even scratch the surface of the pileup's enormity. White-out conditions brought on by a snowstorm resulted in an accident that involved an incredible 85 vehicles. The massive collision occurred at about 11:30 a.m. between Route 303 and Seasons Road, law enforcement officials say. Surprisingly, only five injuries were reported -- and not one of them was serious, according to police. Needless to say, it takes some time to sort things out following an 85-vehicle smashup; in this case, about three-and-a-half hours. Officials reopened SR-8 just after 3 p.m. What's the biggest multi-vehicle accident you've been in? Have you ever had to drive in blinding conditions?
