Sword Stolen From Statue Returned---40 Years Later

The mayor of Westfield, Massachusetts got quite a holiday surprise last month - the return of a historic artifact stolen over 40 years ago.

A sword that was part of a statue honoring Revolutionary War hero General William Shepard was returned by an anonymous man who claimed he stole it in the 1980's as a 'college prank'. Mayor Cindy Gaylord says she remembers when the sword first went missing and never expected to see it again - it was even replaced with another sword that was welded into place.

The stolen sword will likely end up in a local museum. Did you ever pull any youthful pranks that you regret today? What's your wildest college story?
