WEEZER: Rivers Hasn't Actually Seen SNL Skit

Rivers Cuomo did love that Weezer were featured in a Saturday Night Live sketch over the weekend -- but admits that he hasn't actually seen it.

Cuomo's Twitter account on Sunday morning said "They had a whole ass skit about Weezer and me on Saturday Night Live and I'm actually crying," but the frontman admitted he didn't write it. He told Rolling Stone, "You know my Twitter, right? There’s little on there that’s literally true. A lot of it is Trump-true. Like, I agree with the spirit of what I’m tweeting, but a lot of times it’s not factually correct."

Cuomo also laughed when he heard that in the sketch Leslie Jones says, “Weezer died when [original bassist] Matt Sharp left,” and Matt Damon replies, “Weezer didn’t start until [current bassist] Scott Shriner  got there.” Cuomo added, "It’s so deep, man! Who even knows what  they’re talking about? I’m totally honored, but I hope people weren’t  changing the channel."
